Everyday adventures

Just a few pictures to show what we have been doing lately ...

Andrin was sharing his fruits and vegetables with his sister, Bigna.

Andrin has been drawing and "writing" a lot lately!

If you could hear giggles and squeals ...

Andrin's new friend

Ever since Andrin was introduced to Babar, the elephant, he has been asking about hunters and has been sad that they killed Babar's mother in the story. Whenever we go to visit the zoo, we have to visit the elephants and Andrin asks if there are any hunters there as well. We try to go once a week to the library and Andrin has been checking out all the Babar's books that we can find there. (On the pictures, he is sporting his new crown that he crafted in playgroup in celebration of Ephiphany.)

Andrin's fascination

Andrin is still fascinated by chicken, roosters, eggs, and everything connected to it. He often asks us if we would like to drink a espresso and eat an egg. He is good in fixing his eggs and will cook them for ten minutes. The other day, we discovered that the egg cartons are also fun to play and craft with!

Visit to the Zoo

We are now the proud owners of a zoo annual pass! We have been enjoying to have the freedom to go whenever we feel like it. Andrin loves the zoo and is getting quite knowledgeable about all the animals and where they live. Last week, Oma and Opa came to visit and after a good lunch, we went together to the zoo. We enjoyed some sunshine since we knew that the weather forecast was for snow (which Oma and Opa got), cold temperature and a storm (which we did get a day later ...).

Andrin loves the crocodiles. But even though he is fascinated, he also woke up that night saying that a crocodile was looking at him and could not go back to sleep ...

Andrin loves the chestnuts that are sold at every street corner ...

Our little Swiss Diplomat

Our little girl is already a Swiss diplomat! This past week, her babbling increased substantially and we were even able to make out some "real" words. Her first words were "Mama" and "Papa" and she used them in such a manner that we are not able to determine which one came first (even though Mami respective Papi claim secretly that she used their names first :). Another word that she has been using quite a lot, especially since she LOVES to eat is "ham, ham" for food.

But here she is, our little Swiss diplomat at the age of ten months through the lens of Opa ...

Did you notice that she is sitting right next to the cookies? She is not stupid, our little Swiss diplomat!

Engaging in her favorite past time activity ... eating!

"If they don't give me any more food, then I will just eat the ribbon!"

Opa Jumbo's glasses are really interesting. "Why is he just taking them off?"
