While Mami was preparing dinner, Andrin also was cooking. Underneath the kitchen table, his new favorite spot.

A rainy day in Eugene
Today, we woke up to rain. It rained pretty hard in the morning, but then was just cloudy with no more rain. There is more rain in the forecast, but the weather should by nice by Thursday again. Andrin was prepared for a rainy day with his yellow rain boots and his new raincoat. We tackled the rain and went shoe shopping. Mami could not believe how fast Andrin's feet are growing. His new shoes look so BIIIIIIIIG.

The other day, Andrin and Mami had a conversation (I am translating for the sake of all the English-speakers):

Mama: Yes, you can look at Mama's tummy.
Andrin: Mama tummy Tammi.
Mama: Yes, Tammi looked at Mama's tummy.
Andrin: Mama tummy baby. Andrin tummy baby.

Last camping trip of the season
What a great camping trip to finish our camping season! We went once again to the North Fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette, Kiahani. We left town on Friday and it was a good decision since we were able to get the last available site. Not the site that we were hoping for, but a nice site. On Saturday, Andrin's friends joined us and he had lost of fun playing in the river, playing with his friends, and of course eating with them.

McKenzie Pass, Part V
From East Lake, we went to Bend. We stopped at the High Desert Museum and Andrin enjoyed all the exhibits and animals. But it was hot, close to 100 F. In Bend, we stayed at McMinnamins and enjoyed a shower again. Andrin had to wait another night to get his first bath since we only had a shower. Tuesday morning, we headed back to Eugene after some shopping at the Outlet Mall. We took the long and windy road over McKenzie Pass. It is always amazing to see the lava flows and wonderful mountains.

East Lake, Part IV
From Crater Lake National Park, we headed north to East Lake & Paulina Lake. We took a hike on the Obsidian Flow, enjoyed the view from Paulina Peak, and spent a lot of time at the lake.

Andrin enjoying some literature (Last Child in the Woods, about Nature Deficit Disorder -I do not think we have to worry about this too much with Andrin).
