Birthday bash

I guess Opa Jumbo nice a little repair work ...

Andrin was quite surprised by his cake. He wanted a chocolate cake with bees. Mami then had the idea that the cake would not be complete without Winnie-the-Pooh on it as well.

Andrin's friends, Louis, his mother and his sister Mathilda.

Andrin's cake. Mami was proud that Winnie actually looked like himself a little bit ...

Opening presents.

Andrin loved the new book about firemen.

Playing in the sandbox outside.

The girls playing together. Mathilda is about three months older than Bigna.

Papa was optimistic that Bigna would crawl through the tunnel.

Some water play late in the summer/fall.

Andrin is getting some water from Louis. At one point, he even put it on his head himself. You should hear that little boy when Mami has to wash his hair ...!

Kite festival

This Sunday, there was the annual kite festival in a park really close to our home. Opa would have been impressed and happy, was he into building his own kites for a while. I am not so sure if Oma would allow him to use her new sewing machine nowadays to sew his kites :) Andrin was impressed by the kites. The funny (or sad) part was the fact that there hardly was any wind. It was a gorgeous fall day with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures, but no wind. That means that they all had to run around with her kites to show them off. It was quite the sight!

Stickman

Saw this on another blog and just had to share it. Andrin keeps asking to see the boy again ...

Playing siblings

Just some pictures to give you an impression of our last week. We continue to have wonderful weather and have been enjoying the parks and playgrounds.Andrin has been quite smitten that Bigna is so interested in all his activities and he really enjoys (at times) to play with her. As you can see on some of the pictures, we have been hit hard with running noses and a persistent cough (Andrin's cough went away quickly with some syrup, but since Bigna is still to young to take cough sirup, she has been suffering more ...).

All these giggles and laughs ...

Bigna is so mobile and hardly ever stays on her blanket ...

The train is still one of Andrin's favorites ...

With all the laundry there is always a laundry basket handy for some fun.

"If they would not be as stinky, I would just take a bite."

Andrin has been busy packing up the Radio Flyer again. He commented on going to New York this time.

The night before this picture was taken, Andrin was busy on the playground harvesting grass for his cows.

Just love the idea of moving the grass up and then having some grass for the giraffes. Smart little boy!

The cows got all their little pile of hay.

Another laundry basket, even more fun.

Don't ask me where she got that look from.

Enjoying the laundry basket to herself.

Andrin is taking care of his baby, Wichtel. He even asked us to put on the music (Norah Jones) that he listens to when he goes to sleep.
