Birthday bash

Today, we celebrated Andrin's third birthday with a little party. It was very little since almost nobody was able to make it for different reasons. But we still had a great time and Andrin loved the attention that he got. He was so happy to have Opa Jumbo here and excited about all the wonderful presents that he brought along (starting with the new shovel, the Legos and the new train crane). But he was also happy to share his party with his new friend, Louis. He met him in his English-speaking playgroup and when Mami asked him if there was anybody that he wanted to invite, he did not have to think twice and said "Louis." They had a great time playing outside and it was difficult for Louis to leave. Andrin then just decided that he would go home with them and he would have gone in a heartbeat (he even put on his shoes) if Mami would not have run after him to retrieve him.

Andrin was quite surprised by his cake. He wanted a chocolate cake with bees. Mami then had the idea that the cake would not be complete without Winnie-the-Pooh on it as well.
