Ouch ...

Last Wednesday, Mami's head had an unfortunate encounter with some of Andrin's flying Duplo Legos ... Ouch ... It was a logistic nightmare since Clemens was in Germany ... and of course it was after hours ... But thanks to wonderful neighbors, Mami dropped off the kids with our neighbors next door and then went over to another neighbor to get a ride to the hospital ... Fortunately, Mami did not need any stitches.

One year ago ...

One year ago, we said good bye to Eugene in Oregon and were welcomed back home in Switzerland. It has been a year filled with lots of new experiences, some good and some not so good, meeting old and new friends, and lots of adjustments. It is crazy to realize that it really has been a year. It seems like it was so long ago, and also just yesterday!

Summertime

The past few days, we have been blessed with some truly nice, warm (no, actually it is hot) weather. The inflatable pool  is set up, the sun tarp is installed, and we are embracing the weather!

Mami picked up the family on her way back home from her seminar. This is how they enjoyed their Saturday afternoon with Opa Jumbo ...

A glimpse of Switzerland

This week, Mami had to go away for another seminar for her certification. It was the first time that Bigna and Andrin were home alone with Papa (and Oma) for three days! They all did well. But we were all glad when we were together again. But Mami just wanted to share the beauty of the place that she had the seminar at. It is close to the village that Papa grew up in ...

Nap time ...

Most days, we try to put Bigna down for nap time after lunch. Mami says "most days", because our girl sometimes just gets too tired before that and will fall asleep, mostly in her beloved BOB stroller. Today, we were goofing around after lunch and were asking Bigna if she wanted to take a nap ... and it was just too cute how she reacted ...

While Papa went fishing ...

Last week, Papa went fishing with his friend to Austria and we took the chance to spend the weekend with Oma and Opa. Even though the weather was not perfect, we made the best out of it. We even went for a walk in the pouring rain and Andrin thought that it was pretty funny.

Saturday, we had lunch with Niki at Oma and Opa's house.  Andrin was impressed by the stories that he had told him about the gray heron and his pond filled with fish. Andrin then had the idea to make a sign for the heron to let him know that he should not eat the fish (he came up with the idea all on his own, I swear). He drew the heron (in blue, in the background) and then wrote for him in case he did not get the message from the drawing ...
