Halloween Party

Today, we had our annual Halloween party with Andrin's preschool (remember, last year, he was still in playgroup:). It was a lot of fun and the kids were busy crafting, drawing, ring-tossing, .... and of course eating all the food. We had a little parade, but it was very short today because it was so cold (we had some snow yesterday), that we had to cut it short.

We were spoiled by a wonderful package from my parents in Wisconsin ... Just love her face ...

Mrs. Monkey and the King ...

Bigna loved this thing ... It was actually a rocker/seesaw, but she insisted to turn it around and to use it as a ... boat?

Happy birthday, Oma!

Yesterday, we celebrated Oma's birthday with family in Obwalden. The weather was amazing and warm so that we were able to sit outside to eat lunch together. The children had so much fun playing with everyone and had a great time!

Bigna is helping Oma opening presents.

Sword fight with uncle Timmie.

Bigna and Andrin were helping themselves to Oma's plate as well. At the end, Oma was convinced that Andrin had emptied her glass of wine as well ...

The next door neighbors have been working on the remodel of their house. Andrin was so happy to be able to jump on the excavator with the neighbor.

Mommy-to-be. In more or less 4 weeks. Andrin and Bigna can't wait to be cousins!

Bigna usually does not like uncle Jorrit. But here here, he was blowing her feet and that was ok and even made her giggle.

Uncle Timmie is showing off his newest creation, the bat hat ...

Feeding Oma's cow.

No trip to Oma and Opa's house without some water fun!

Chatting with Opa. Bigna adores her Opa!

The lake in the fall

Today, we took a daytrip to the lake to close down the cottage for the winter. That means making sure that not too many mice and other animals will enter the cottage while we are not there (it is not winter-proved and would be way too cold to be there in the winter). The actual work was done was quickly and we had time for some fun at the lake. We even ate our lunch there. And of course Andrin had to take a little swim in the lake :) Fortunately, we were prepared and had some spare clothes with us.
On our way home, we visited Opa Jumbo, recovering after another surgery. Thanks for hosting us, Opa Jumbo!

Bigna all ready to hit the road. She climbs in her car seat as soon as we pull it out of the basement.

So fun, puddles ...

Andrin took his tractor to the lake with him.

Andrin's waddling walk after he fell into the lake.
