When we got home from work/daycare yesterday, we just could not resist the beautiful weather and were outside in the backyard for a little bit. Andrin discovered the clothes pins and put them on his sweater and just kept on playing. He was delighted that he got to use the sandbox again.
Any guesses what we did today? Yes, we made some cupcakes. Andrin was a big helper (like he always is). He loved to stir the dough and mix all the ingredients. He even tried to crack an egg open. He was successful by cracking it open, but it did not make it entirely into the bowl. And if you are asking yourself if our boy was in a good mood today, then the simple answer is: YES. He would laugh and giggle randomly and seemed to just enjoy his life.
Of course there has been a lot of baby talk in our house lately. Andrin always says "hi" to his baby sister in Mami's tummy and has to make sure that she is getting enough to eat and drink (he is even willing to share his milk with her). Somehow, he also knows that his baby sister will be nursing and he will tell you that she will get milk from Mami and that it comes out of Mami's breasts (smart boy!). But he loves to look at Mami's tummy and then has to uncover his own tummy (oh yes, we did not mention that there is a baby in there as well ... even though he commented the other day that Mami's tummy is big and that his is small in comparison) and touch his naked tummy to his baby sister in Mami's tummy. Andrin also will crawl all over the place and now is pretending to be his baby sister (before, it was always Henley), just using baby talk, and crying from time to time. But he also rediscovered the bouncy chair and loves to sit in there and watch Mami cook or just hang out in there ...
