Safe travels, Papi!

Mami and I dropped off Papi this morning at the Eugene airport before we went to Jasper to play/work. We will miss Papi, that is for sure. Fortunately, he already will be back by Friday night again. It is a crazy trip for Papi, but he has been invited to give a talk at the University Basel/Biozentrum!

My little big helper

Well, Omama will love this one ... She always is so impressed by Andrin's ability to help Mami. Well, he really is a big help and he totally surprised me this morning with his help (I did not even have to ask him:)!

18-month well child visit

Andrin had his 18-month well child visit today. His doctor was happy how he is developing and there are no concerns. He also got two more shots and is thus up to date again. Unfortunately, it looks like Andrin has inherited asthma (like his Papi, Opa, great-grandpa, ...). He continues to have wheezing whenever he gets a cold. The doctor decided to try him on preventive asthma medication for the coming winter and hopes that this will help him. Since Andrin is still small, she is hesitant to make a diagnosis yet.

And here are the wonderful stats:
  • Height: 32.3 inches, 82 cm (50th percentile)
  • Weight: 25 pounds and 14 ounces, 11.5 kg (50th percentile)
  • The doctor pointed out that Andrin is perfectly proportioned at the moment. He gained a lot of height (since it used to be 25th percentile).

Toys, toys

Andrin has just in the last few days really discovered some of his "old" toys. He has gotten a real liking into pushing his frog from Opa around and loves the new push-along toy and Noah's Arch, that we just recently got him (as a Easter present, Mami told Papi :).

Easter fun

Today, we had another Easter egg hunt and some wonderful packages to unpack. Just too bad that Andrin is not eating chocolate yet (or good for Mami and Papi :). Luckily, he also was more interested in playing with his Easter bunnies than trying to eat them (even though he seems to be rather interested in the eggs).

Easter Egg Hunt with friends

Yesterday, Andrin experienced his first Easter egg hunt with his friends from our Birth To Three group. He was not that interested in looking for the eggs though. He was easily satisfied and started putting rocks in his basket.
