We would like to introduce you to a wonderful new addition to our family: Tomte Tumetott!
Tomte Tumetott is one of Mami's favorite picture books by her beloved Swedish author, Astrid Lindgren. Since we finally retrieved the boxes that we stored with our dear friends, Sara and Peter, we are currently rediscovering all our possessions. In one of the boxes, there were all the books by Astrid Lindgren and they are now in Andrin's room. We have been reading the story Tomte Tumetott several times now. Andrin loves the idea of having someone look after you during the night. We kept telling him that Tomte would only come and sit by his bed if he would not wake up during the night and cry (by the way, he has been sleeping through the night again, thank good, even though he seems to like to skip afternoon naps now ;). Andrin took our description of Tomte a little bit too far and has been Andrin Tumetott himself. We kept telling him that Tomte would walk quietly through the house when everyone would be asleep. One night, Andrin came walking down the stairs and opened up the door to our bedroom and we escorted him back upstairs. The next night, he came down and opened up the bedroom door to check on us and then left by himself again. I woke up because Bigna was hungry and thought that it was funny that Clemens had left our door open ... Well, he told me the next morning that it had been Andrin Tumetott that had opened the door. But to make a long story short, we have a new house guest ... and if you would like to read the wonderful story by Astrid Lindgren yourself, it is well worth it (even though I am probably not an objective judge).
