Happy 2 1/2 year birthday, Andrin!
Andrin woke up this morning to Mami telling him that he has his 2 1/2 year birthday today! Clever boy he is, he asked about his present right away. But what a day it was! We applied for Bigna's American passport this morning and everything went smoothly. Andrin was a doll and handled having to wait for one hour. Back home, he wanted to play outside in the dirt and dig and rake some grass. We both had a great time. But after his nap, he really showed Mami what it means to be 2 1/2 years old ... pushing limits, drawing demonstratively on furniture, and giving his sister a little bit too much love (she even cried her first real tears today, it broke my heart). And then he gave Mami the scare of her life: He went into the office and locked himself in. Totally understandable because you just have to try it out and see what happens if you turn that nob. Mami and Papi did not realize that you can lock the office door from inside. Mami had to coax Andrin into turning the nob again. He stood inside, asking Mami to come in and Mami was trying to stay calm and cool ... He ended the day with his music lesson with his friend Madelyn. We will see what Papi will report from that outing ...
